A Tribute to Will Ryan
On Sunday, February 28, 2022, the family, friends and colleagues of performer, composer, singer and writer Will Ryan gathered together in a touching tribute to him. CelebWorx live-streamed the event and has made it available for online viewing.

Sylvester McCoy at Gallifrey One, February 21, 2022
At the Gallifrey One convention, February 21, 2022, Sylvester McCoy energizes my cell phone! There’s a Covid-protective partition between us which doesn’t show. I had no idea of his pose till after I saw this photo. This goes to show his remarkable gift for improv.
Handy Latin Phrases

Here is one:
Deus Ex Machina
“God from the Machine.” In a novel it basically means the author has written something too convenient to explain events, a plot device to solve the unsolvable problem.

The Bureau of Magical Things Fan Cards
In November 2021, Jonathan M. Schiff Productions of Melbourne, Australia, issued a set of fan cards featuring the stars of The Bureau of Magical Things. Here they are:
Elizabeth Cullen as Imogen Blackwell, an elf.

Julian Cullen as Darra Blackwell, Imogen’s brother. Elizabeth and Julian are siblings in real life.

Jamie Carter as Peter, a regular human being and the show’s comic relief.

Kimie Tsukakoshi as Kyra Glen, a “Tri-ling” hybrid of human, elf, and fairy.

Mia Milnes as Lily Reegan, a fairy.

Rainbow Wedell as Ruksy Tevela, a fairy.

In the U.S., the first season of The Bureau of Magical Things can be enjoyed on Netflix. We look forward to Season Two.
Two Drunk Dragons
From the Rankin-Bass production of The Flight of Dragons, Gorbash (John Ritter) and Smrgol (James Gregory) indulge themselves in a wine cellar. They consume a hundred hams, 60 cheeses, and 30 barrels of mead, much to the consternation of the innkeeper.
Always remember: friends don’t let dragons fly home drunk!
