In the cinemas, the use of continuous tracking shots are becoming more common, such as with Tintin:

And in The Avengers:

Now these shots are becoming the norm in TV action-adventure. This one from Daredevil Episode 2 caused quite a stir recently:

And Agents of SHIELD has gotten into the act:

And from SHIELD‘s final episode this season, one tracking shot after another:

And in The Flash, slo-mo is involved with the tracking:

Imagine how intense Peter’s duel in Prince Caspian could have been in one continuous take:
